|Admittedly, I am not a fan of Hollywood when it comes to drama, flicks like "Summer Place" and "Ordinary People" cause me to involuntarily convulse and gag. But every now and then - Hollywood outsmarts itself.|
|This B&W flick is just that, a
southern tale of racism seen through the eyes of Scout, the daughter of Atticus (a widowed
attorney). When Atticus takes on the defense of a black man accused of raping a white
woman - the story takes turns, following the children and the trial.
