Okay, it's not a rocket - but it's damn close. Designed on a 1950's sliderule, this firebreathing dragon is the product of Kelly Johnson's Lockheed's Skunkworks and it is still the premium aircraft of all time. Retired "undefeated" after 3 decades of performance - it still holds all the hot aeronautical records. For all you ALIEN-UFOheads - any visitor ship approaching earth catching a glimpse of this baby would get the hell outta here! Below are the two best pic's I have of this machine - I use 'em for my desktop...because I never tire of looking at it. The first is of the SR-71, the second is of the SR-71B Trainer over the Sierras (after re-fueling).
